Section 11.43 of the Texas Property Tax Code requires that a property owner filing for a Residential Homestead Exemption must provide the following: 1) A copy of Applicant’s Texas Driver’s License or State-Issued Identification Card. All documents must be in the applicant’s name and reflect the homestead property address in order to qualify for the exemption.
